LVL stands for length, volume, lift and the treatment is much more advanced than lash perms of yesteryear. It works by straightening the eyelashes out from the root to achieve the desired longer and thicker look.
Although we swear by eyelash curlers to give us that wide-eyed bambi image, curling actually tends to shorten and restrict lashes whereas LVL stretches them out to help them reach their lash potential. As the root itself is being treated, results are not only instant but last for up to 8 weeks.
We visited Browz to try LVL lashes to see if we could be persuaded to part with our curlers…
First, eyelashes are cleaned of any cosmetic residue and eyelashes are placed in a shield for protection. This is not as scary as it sounds, in fact, you can’t even feel it. A two-step serum is then applied to the lashes which is aimed at straightening them. This entire process takes around 20 minutes, during which you’ll have your eyes closed. After this is complete and eyelashes are combed out, a tint is applied to make your lashes appear darker, such as mascara does.
All in all, the non-invasive treatment takes around 45 minutes and because it does not dry out the eyelashes or weaken them, it’s a much safer alternative to the traditional holiday beauty essential of extensions.
Priced at AED 390 it’s also a lot more cost effective.
