As if David Beckham wasn’t quite enough, Mall of the Emirates is set to play host to another sporting superstar in the form of ten-time champion boxer Manny Pacquiao.
Sports retailer, GO Sport due to open shortly in the new wing of Mall of the Emirates will be officially inaugerated by Manny himself, the megastore has confirmed.
This follows confirmation that the new GO Sport store which will be located on the third floor of Dubai’s favourite mall will be the largest outlet in the world for the brand.
Set to feature dedicated sports zones and an impressive 10-metre volcano-shaped climbing unit (just in case you get the urge whilst buying your sneakers presumably), this impressive store is informing fans of Pacquaio to keep a close eye on the retailer’s social media pages for the chance to meet the world champ one-on-one as he opens the store on November 5th.
Pacquaio, who earlier this year announced plans to run for a seat in the Senate in his native Philippines has enjoyed a lengthy and successful 20-year career, defeating some of the fiercest boxing legends including Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya. He was also crowned ‘Fighter of the Decade’ by the Boxing Writers Association of America, the World Boxing Council and the World Boxing Organisation in 2011 respectively.
