Mango Launches Sustainable Denim Collection

Spanish brand MANGO has launched a capsule collection where denim takes centre stage

Inspired by the 80s and 90s, MANGO – our favourite Spanish fashion brand, is launching a capsule collection in which denim takes centre stage. High waists, washed textures and volumes demonstrate the infinite possibilities of the wardrobe staple.

What’s more, MANGO has created a collection made up of 14 garments made of sustainable cotton. The use of this material, sourced from certified crops and technical innovations with a lower environmental impact in the finish of denim garments, makes it possible to reduce the use of chemical substances, water and energy. This minimises its impact on natural resources. Furthermore, thanks to recycled fibres and initiatives like Second Chances, the company is helping to promote a circular economy.

MANGO Take Action

The fashion multinational has established as one of its key objectives to increase the proportion of sustainable fibres in its collection, which is why, by 2025, 100% of the cotton used in its garments will be sustainably sourced. In fact, in 2018 the firm had already set a target for 50% of its cotton to be sustainable by 2022 and in the same year signed up to the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) to increase its support for the cultivation of sustainable cotton worldwide.

The denim capsule collection will be available online 13 February onward.
