Today, we are overjoyed at the news that the Shangri-La Hotel Dubai is collaborating with SJP herself for a truly unique shoe-tree. Yes ladies, that’s right – a tree made of shoes *swoon*
This bespoke, golden, hand-made ‘Shoe-Tree’ takes centre stage at the hotel’s festive celebrations this Winter season and is adorned with an exclusive preview of the latest SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker show collection comprising the branches of the tree.
Launched in 2014, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker for those that don’t know is an ultra-luxe, Italian-made shoe collection by her namesake consisting of classic, timeless designs in beautiful colours embellished with Carrie Bradshaw’s signature crystal and bold gemstones. SJP has partnered up with shoe master craftsman and Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus III to create her range and the pair were inspired by not only Parker’s style conscious character in Sex in the City, Carrie Bradshaw — after whom a shoe in the collection is named — but also New York of the 1970s. Shoes will be priced from Dh1200 and customers who visit Harvey Nichols or Bloomingdales on the days the star is in town will be able to have their purchases autographed. We love the brand for its impossibly girly yet sophisticated style that has seen an army of well-healed (excuse the pun) devotees.
The unveiling of the Shoe-Tree brings a fashionable and original sparkle to the Dubai festive season but also marks part of the big reveal of the Shangri-La Dubai’s new lobby following its AED 70 million renovation, making for the perfect place for hotel guests and residents to relax and enjoy renowned Dubai hospitality.
The Shoe-Tree will be on show until January 6th 2017.
