We love a new season ma-up drop and Burberry’s lustworthy collection entitled ‘velvet & Lace’ has up thinking of a whole new look this Summer.
Forget sugary pastels and sun-kissed shimmer, this Spring/Summer offering is inspired by the brand’s womenwear 2016 collection n, ‘Functionregalia’.
It’s mean and moody with a delicate edge, it’s for every girl that wears a leather biker jacket with a floaty sundress and for those that love a hint of drama to their look.
The collection features intricate lace-inspired detail with dark, bold red hues and metallic. It includes two limited edition palettes and limited edition shades for nails and eyes.
Our favourite piece has to be the 2016 Runway Palette consisting of two lightweight illuminating face powders set with a lace pattern design and inspired by the fabrics from the catwalk show. The nude and gold shades provide subtle highlighting whilst the pearly, translucent powder illuminates the face for an ethereal glow.
Furthermore we can’t get enough of the limited edition Burberry Nail Polish in Black Cherry No.304 which offers effortless application with a rounded-edge brush and a high gloss finish in the deepest of blood reds.
For eyes that pop we’re loving the colour cream in both Nude Gold and Charcoal for a night and day look that suits most skin tones and eye colours.
Basically, we just love Burberry and Burberry make-up is one guilty indulgence we will never give up.
