Another First for the World’s Most Famous Hotel – Burj al Arab

Today, the rumours finally came to an end for Dubai’s most iconic hotel and landmark in its own right, announced a revolutionary new island concept set to open later this year.

This brand new island leisure concept is actually being constructed offsite in Finland before it will be delivered by ship to the UAE, something that has never been done before.

Entitled ‘North Deck’ this expansive outdoor luxury leisure concept will be the latest addition to the world’s most opulent all-suite hotel. This 100,000metre-squared private deck will protrude 100 metres out into the Arabian Gulf and accommodate 32 cabanas, 400 sun loungers, one fresh water pool, one salt water pool, one restaurant and one bar, making it quite possibly the most exciting sun-bathing spot in the whole of Dubai.

Developed using state-of-the-art marine technology and manufacturing expertise, this new innovation also places a strong focus on environmental benefits. Construction experts ADMARES are responsible for its development, a company that specializes in the construction of cruise ships and yachts, setting the highest standards in both manufacture and finish. Being made from steel and weighing around 5,000 tonnes, the North Deck is currently being transported to Dubai due for arrival at the hotel mid-February. The construction and steel installation process will cause minimal impact to the marine environment, in fact, it has been designed to provide shade for local fish and to attract undersea ecosystems that are known to cluster around steel piles.

One thing is for sure, we cannot wait to see the end result of our favourite hotel’s new project! As if we needed another reason to check in…
