Recently we visited Madinat’s latest American eatery, The Hide and since then we have heard some exciting news that it would be frankly wrong of us not to share!
The Hide is launching a brunch! Meat lovers clap your hands together in glee for this new American style brunch is set to revolutionize our favourite Friday pastime.
With three different timings, extendable drinks packages and a true meat feast served direct to your table, you are in for a treat.
The Hide is Dubai’s newest ‘meatery’ found within Jumeirah Al Qasr, Madinat Jumeirah and fronted by the culinary genius that is Brian Voelzing as Head Chef alongside Executive Development Chef, Nick Cuadrado. It boasts a mouth-watering (and waist expanding) menu full of classic American comfort food focusing on forgotten cuts, dry aged beef and some of the most delicious deserts you’ll devour in the city. With unpretentious, masculine interior and a large outdoor terrace, The Hide presents a rustic, vintage vibe that manages to be effortless cool.
Now, you can indulge yourself in the daytime too with a modern-day feasting menu where you can get to grips with whole cuts of meat and steaks all cooked ‘The Hide way’ – packed full of flavour.
Launching Friday 20th November, the ‘Meatopia’ Brunch is as it sounds and not for the faint-hearted, this is a true carnivores brunch with family style appetizers such as Chicken Liver Parfait with duck pastrami, grilled prawns and DIY beef tartar before munching on Meat Market Mains such as flat-iron steaks, The Hide Burger and Half a French Bird, all of course accompanied by those all important – side dishes such as OMG onion rings and french fries.
If you’re in the mood to share, show stopping feasting joints are available for the table including succulent slow roast prime rib, whole braised salt bush lamb shoulder and a whole roasted chicken with a honey glaze. Meat sweats yet?
We haven’t finished yet! Deserts including Apple Pie and the already legendary Campfire Smores are play a vital role in this exciting new brunch.
The Hide is the only restaurant in Dubai that offers 54 different grapes by the glass alongside an extensive cocktail and mocktail list so the drinks on offer are almost as good as the food itself! Accompany your meat feast with a range of sharing cocktails including the Brunch Punch and the Backyard Pimms Punch, not to mention a whopping 50% off bottles of bubbles. Expect a party atmosphere at this glamorous brunch with a resident DJ and with slots starting from 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:00pm early birds and late risers need not miss out on a good weekend feed. Furthermore, when the party is winding down, simply upgrade your drinks package for a further hour to continue the party for a cost of AED 150 per person, right through until 4:30pm.
The Meatopia brunch starts at AED 395 for a soft drinks package and ranges to AED 495 for the alcoholic package, which in Dubai is still fairly reasonable.
Join The Hide to celebrate its North American roots with a special Thanksgiving brunch on Friday 27th November which includes traditional Down Home Pumpkin Pie with a ginger crunch (yum), whole roast bronze turkey with all the trimmings and a patriotic Stars and Stripes soufflé with frozen white chocolate custard.
