Thanks to the amazing success that MEFCC celebrated last year that saw Marvel Comics and Seth Green amongst others descend upon Dubai, Comic Con 2015 looks set to be even bigger and of course, better! With an estimated 50,000 visitors over the duration of the event this April, it’s time to source a costume and hit Dubai World Trade Centre between the 9-11th. It promises to be a weekend of fun , pop-culture, comics and cosplay.
MEFCC is the only consumer event for fans of cult entertainment and popular culture in the Middle East. Although dressing up is not mandatory, who doesn’t love an excuse to dust off your superhero cape (what you have one too?!) and lose your inhibitions for a few days.
The stellar line-up of celebrity guests for this year includes headline guest William Shatner. Most recognised for his role as Star Trek’s Captain James T.Kirk, his career spans more than 50 years where he has not only starred in six Star Trek films but also Miss Congeniality alongside Sandra Bullock and famous TV series such as Twilight Zone and more recently, Boston Legal.

Kelly Hu
Playing China White in the upcoming CW series, Arrow. She has guest starred in CSI and recurring roles in many other TV dramas such as Vampire Diaries and Army Wives. She also starred in X-Men 2.
Caitlin Glass
Having worked in the anime industry for a decade, she has had many voice acting roles including Gunslinger Girl, Fairy Tail and School Rumble.
Gillian Anderson
She’s best know for her role as Scully, the sassy, smart foil to Mulder from the X-Files, but Anderson has also shot to Hollywood fame in Hannibal and the BBC/Netflix crime television series, The Fall. She has received over 20 Awards with 59 nominations across her illustrious career.
Angelica Bridges
She may have started her career on the popular television series Baywatch, but Angelica has also had rules in the UK psychological thriller ‘The Perfect William’ and ‘Veronica Mars’. She is also currently shooting the television trilogy, ‘Batgirl Rises’ in the role of Poison Ivy.

Back for the fourth time, Landis has since directed a music video for Ariana Grande and been part of three film projects including American Ultra, Victor Frankenstein and Mr. Right

Denis Medri is an iconic comic artist, illustrator and designer as well as being the creator of Arcade Boy, the popular comic series.
Skan Srisuwan
Srisuwan co-founded Studio HIVE, which provides comic production, concepts and illustrations. He’s now well-known for his design work on projects such as statues for XM Studios including Magneto on Sentinel Throne.
Andy Suriano
He is currently the artist for IDW’s Samurai Jack and has also worked on Star Wars: Clone Wars, Batman and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. No wonder he is an Emmy Award-winning artist.
Long Vo
The legendary founder of the biggest anime online community and gaming site Gaia Online. Long Vo is the founder and Creative Director of Hiptic Games, a mobile games studio based in the Bay Area, California, USA. Hiptic Games is the developer of the hit games Diver Dogs, Fat Squirrel and GO Ninja!
Charles Soule
New York-based comic book author, musician and attorney, known for his work on titles such as his creator-owned Letter 44 from Oni Press; She-Hulk, Inhuman and Death of Wolverine from Marvel, and Superman/Wonder Woman and Swamp Thing.
Des Taylor
Des is back again bringing his special retro-pop art style to MEFCC. Des is a Pop Artist, Designer, Comic Book Illustrator and founder of his own online print and comic art company, DESPOP.
Sam J Jones
His most famous role to date was Flash Gordon in the 1980 film of the same name. Jones went on to play Chris Rorchek in the TV series Code Red (1981–1982) before playing guest roles in various other TV shows including The A-Team, Hunter, and Riptide before, in 1987, he played the lead role in an adaptation of Will Eisner’s comics character The Spirit.
Bryce Papenbrook
Bryce has provided the voice for more Anime characters then you know! From Eren in Attack on Titan to Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist, his CV is endless. Bryce has performed in numerous video games, cartoons, and television shows.
Vic Mignogna
His most famous role was as Vega in Streetfighter II. Since then Vic has been in more than three hundred animated series and video games, known for such roles as Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Tamaki Suou in Ouran High School Host Club and Zero in Vampire Knight. Vic is currently playing characters in Free!, Sailor Moon, World Of Warcraft, Karneval, Attack On Titan, Space Dandy, Tiger & Bunny, Digimon Fusion, Sword Art Online, Nura, La Grange and several others.
