New top-floor bar at Burj Al Arab Jumeirah opens on 8th April 2016
Rumours have been milling around the Dubai hospitality scene for quite some time on the new top-floor bar at the iconic Burj Al Arab and finally the day is here and the doors are open to what just might be, the most luxurious (and definitely the most golden) bar in the UAE, if not the world.
The Burj Al Arab, the world’s only 7-star hotel is known as the pinnacle of global luxury, the accommodation of choice for royals, politicians, sporting stars and celebrities alike, a place that has remained in only the minds of mere mortals, for this billowing sail shaped hotel that rises out of the Arabian Gulf consists of only suites complete with private butlers and use of it’s very own Rolls-Royce fleet. As you do.
Gold On 27, is the hotel’s latest in a series of new additions to the Burj Al Arab and promises to set the standard for Dubai’s social scene offerings. So what exactly does Gold On 27 offer? Well, as you’d expect from it’s name; lots and lots of gold.
The textured gilt walls shimmer under the glow of carefully crafted lighting as well as the setting sun offering breath-taking views out towards the Gulf and over to Dubai’s stunning skyline. It’s art deco in it’s style, there’s more than a hint of a Gatsby party about it.
But the real star quality of this expensive lounge bar is its resident mixologists. If you’re a cocktail lover (and let’s face it who isn’t?) then this is the place for you. Featuring an award-winning team of mixologists, headed up by cocktail maestro and general manager Paul Bradley, the menu is overtly imaginative. This is not the place to pop for a mojito. With premium brands and a surprising array of ingredients (goats cheese foam anyone?) the result is a refreshingly awesome selection of unique drinks quite unmatchable from any other venue in the region. As if we would expect anything less.
Relax with your arm candy as you enjoy the spectacular views against the rhythmic sounds of internationally acclaimed DJ Darko De Jan and his fantastical mix of deep, soulful house.
Bookings for Gold On 27 (required) are available to be made through a specially crafted app which is available both on Android and IOS. Your booking is then activated upon arrival at the entrance to the hotel, allowing access to both the property and the bar on the 27th floor. It’s officially open as of April 8th and is open each day from 6pm to 1am.
