Coconut Couture: Travel the World in Style

One thing we can’t get enough of is beautiful beachwear and with glorious weather almost 365 days a year in the Emirates, we need a whole lot of it.

We’re obsessed with the vibrant, patterned maxi dresses, slit-to the thigh and low in the back alongside the sugary coloured kaftans that are the perfect cover-up for our swimwear. Team these with gilt bodychains and oversized rings and you’ll be the belle of the beach.

The collections at Coconut Couture are designed for those with a sense of wanderlust, the illustrious traveller who is rarely seen away from a white sand beach and who demands only the finest statements pieces to relax in and to be seen in.

We recently visited the beautiful tropical island of Praslin in the Seychelles, staying at Constance Lemuria and when residing at such an exclusive, luxurious property in one of the most picturesque parts of the world, only the best would do for our holiday wardrobe.

During the day we wore the majestic ‘Saigon’ maxi beach kaftan with tie-waist helping to hide a multitude of sins. This oriental inspired garment is a decadent mix of black, white and pillarbox red, ensuring you stand out for all the right reasons.

As the sun set we could be found sporting the eye-catching ‘Cristina’ dress as we roamed the deserted beaches making friends with all manner of wildlife. The lightweight printed chiffon design was perfect in the balmy climate and the seductive split detailing to both sides ensured that a petite frame was not swamped under layers of fabric. The unique chain design is reminiscent of early Versace and in a palette of burnt oranges and golds was highlighted under the glow of the evening sun.
