I’ve heard fabulous things about HydraFacial MD® for its miracle working skin solutions so when I was recently faced with the opportunity to try it out for myself at a recent stay at the Kempinski Hotel Ajman, myself and my overly dehydrated skin jumped at the chance. If it’s good enough for Beyonce it’s good enough for me!
Being 30 years of age and an ex sun-worshipper, my skin although relatively well behaved sometimes fall victim to the harsh Middle East weather and gets very dehydrated leaving it looking lacklustre and tired. Worried by the ageing affects that living in the sunshine has on my face I couldn’t wait to try out HydraFacial MD®
HydraFacial MD® self-proclaims to remedy fine lines and wrinkles, elasticity and firmness, hyper pigmentation, enlarged pores and the signs of ageing. It’s basically a teeny tiny little machine on wheels that wouldn’t look out of place in a dentists, that through water therapy works wonders for the skin.
The HydraFacial MD® treatment merges soothing and invigorating spa therapies with advanced medical technology to achieve instant, lasting results. The great thing is it has absolutely no downtime or discomfort and is a great alternative to invasive procedures that have the same overall effect.
The HydraFacial MD® serums specifically target your skin issues including sun damage, blackheads and whiteheads, enlarged pores, acne, brown spots, uneven skin tone, and fine lines and wrinkles. The best part – it’s not just a quick-fix-it procedure. The HydraFacial MD® improves the quality of your skin, actually helping to making it healthy. The unique Vortex-Fusion®serum delivery system is what sets the HydraFacial MD® apart from other procedures. By a four-step process it cleanses, exfoliates and extracts impurities and dead skin cells to replenish vital nutrients to the face.
It all sounds a little scary and although I wouldn’t say the overall experience is particularly enjoyable (imagine lots of little vacumn cleaners on your skin) but it wasn’t overly uncomfortable either and my skin really did look noticeably different after a mere fifteen minute treatment.
My main concern as so many women’s is, was age reversal, I was willing to try pretty much anything that promised to turn back the clock a few years (even a few months would work for me!) so my facial was tailored to my particular requirements.
The first step was Vortex exfoliation. An Activ-4™ serum was pushed into my skin via a vacumn tube to remove dead skin cells to uncover healthy skin below. Secondly, came the application of Glysal™ serum, a mixture of Glycolic and Salicylic Acids that acts as a peel but without the horrible post-peel scaling that occurs. The Vortex extraction came next and after making my therapist explain repeatedly that this wouldn’t hurt a bit (it didn’t) i finally let her get to work whilst the vortex-suction cleaned out my pores with the help of a Beta-HD™ serum. My last step consisted of an Antiox+™ serum sent into the deepest layers of my skin designed to nourish and protect it.
I was shown the impurities that had come out of my skin in a plastic tube at the end of my treatment, needless to say I was fairly appalled and disgusted. However, one look in the mirror and my skin looked brand new. It was plumper in the cheeks, my pores on my nose and chin appeared clearer and more importantly to me, smaller and I had a sort of glow about me that was hard to pinpoint.
Having tried every facial on the market with limited results, I can safely say that I am now aHydraFacial MD® addict.
Ladies of the UAE I could not urge you to give this a try more.
