Azzedine Alana Debut Eyewear Collection

Dreamy eyewear is always heavy on our lust list and the news of Maison Alaïa’s first eyewear collection fell on happy ears here at The Insider UAE.

Produced in partnership with Kering Eyewear, Maison Alaïa’s recognized style in clothing, shoes, belts and bags is now further revealed in six distinctive frames for his premier Spring Summer 2018 sunglass collection and we love them all!

Each of the six designs is clearly strongly influenced by Maison Alaïa’s stylistic codes and rigorous attention to detail, which is reflected in every facet of the design. Always inspired by forms that illuminate the designer’s essential relationship with the beauty expressed by a woman’s body, the addition of eyewear to his unique world of Couture, Ready to Wear, leather accessories, and fragrances, reveals his distinctive vision of modern femininity.

The collection moves from subtle oval contours to more dynamic round and squared volumes and with a varied and discrete series of transparent effects executed with striking artistry, and precious micro studs appliqued to both the front and temple, the Maison’s emblematic Arabesque pattern establishes the vision that is always at the heart of the Parisian Maison. Presented in tones that shift from nude to black.

From the elegant rectangular shapes in high-quality acetate, enriched with the Maison’s iconic Arabesque pattern created with a combination of lasered pattern and micro studs, finished in silver and gunmetal to the soft cat-eye shape that combines retro flair and modern sophistication, each style exudes the Maison’s stylistic identity.

The transparent nude is our favourite. Race you for them!
